my sunday as a story

Once upon a time, there is a very pretty, quirky American Girl doll named Kimaya. Kimaya had everything she needed; clothes, a bed, toys, food, even an iPad. But there were a couple things that she reeeeeally wanted. Her best friend, a 10-year old girl, promised they would go to the American Girl store at Natick and get her items. So Kimaya waited.
Kimaya's birthday was fast approaching. With only two weeks until her birthday, Kimaya's friend planned to go to the American Girl store on this Sunday. Kimaya was very excited about this. She loved the AG store. It was filled with sooooo many items. Kimaya started counting down the days until the weekend.
Finally Sunday came. Kim's friend buckled her up in the Lexus, and off they went. Natick is only thirty minutes away, and soon they were in the mall, walking towards the AG store.
Kim's friend at once started looking for Kim's first present: a 2016 Special Edition Maryellen mini doll. Kim loved Maryellen, so she wanted her mini doll. After some searching, they found the mini doll. This is how she looks.

After that, they explored the Girl of the Year's section, and Kim's friend's mom picked out a AG Logo shirt for one of Kim's skirts. Then they went upstairs.

If downstairs was heaven, the upstairs was paradise. There was the hair/nail salon. There were the Truly Me dolls, and the restaurant. The next item they hunted for was the curly ponytail hair add-on.

The last item they got was not planned for. It was the adventure sleeping bag for dolls.

Kim was soooooo happy that day. She was even happier when her friend announced that when her aunt would ask what to get for her birthday, she would ask for the Girl of the Year mini doll.
To finish it off, they went to IKEA for a little shopping, and had there delicous Swedish meatballs and almond pie. Yum!

THE END

P.S. This actually happened with me and my doll last Sunday.

What Other's Enjoyed

Diwali is here!

Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't post in a long time. It's November, and in India, people are getting ready for Diwali, the sweet festival of lights. Diwali is a festival celebrated in honor of Prince Rama, his brother Laxman, and Rama's wife, Sita's return after exile. Diwali is also the festival of lights. This time, I bought clay diyas and painted them. Diyas are oil lamps. In India, people are buying sparklers, fireworks, and other kinds of crackers. Houses are cleaned, new clothes are bought, and sweets are made and bought. here are some photos of Diwali: Happy Diwali/Thanksgiving, everyone!

A Rainbow of Tragedy

Anger is red Beautiful and deadly It wreaks havoc With no determined end Passion is orange All-consuming and blind It drives you forward Until the ground gives way Content is yellow Peaceful and bright It lures you in An enchanting dream Sickness is green Disgusting and vile It holds you in its death grip Fingers tightening like a noose Hope is blue Mirror of the sky It keeps you afloat Makes you soar Indigo is fear Irrational and deep It pulls you back A shadow in your mind Pride is violet Arrogance and ego It chains you to the top With silver words and golden trophies Death is black Dark and empty It counts down like a bomb An ugly truth White is life Pure and unadulterated It’s a million miracles A beautiful lie

Insomnia

Fear We keep it to ourselves Even as it plagues us in our slumber Even when it rises with the morning sun Anger We explode with our emotions An uncontrollable reality Of what we can become Rumination Fruitless nights spent on thoughts that collide A tendency to look At the half-empty glass And you ask why I can't sleep?
