MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas! I hope everyone has a good one!

look

This is a poem I have been intending to publish, but because of other things, I could not get around to it. Look By Aditi Bhattamishra Look at how the stars shine brighter  Whenever I look up. Look at how the grass  dances  Whenever I walk by. Look at how the moon  glows  When I am in the dark. Look at how the sun  shines  As I wake up to a new day. Look at how the flowers  bloom  Whenever I breath. Look at how the birds  greet me  As I climb to the top. Look at how the world  Revolves around me. Look at how I  R evolve   around the world.

New Blog!

Hi, readers! I have a huge announcement to make. I've started a new blog! The blog will act as an art gallery. I will post sketches, drawings, paintings, and other projects I've done on it. Here is the link:  Gallery of Imagination   Gallery of Imagination is not a replacement blog for Aditi's Simple Thought. I will be running both blogs simultaneously.

the beach

The Beach Plum Island Beach, MA Broken seashells puncture my feet; Strong waves push against me, Before pulling me in; Warm sand bakes my heels, As the sun mercilessly beat down on me; Scattered shells, of all shapes and sizes, Are gems to collectors sandy hands; Kids joyously fling sand around them,  As colorful bikini-covered girls sun-bask; Seagull's loud cries add to the ever-going conversation' As they scavenge for food; Boats of all kinds surf the waves; Kites stay aloft, while their flyers watch attentively The roar of the waves lures me deeper, As I stare into the abyss of water.

my sunday as a story

Once upon a time, there is a very pretty, quirky American Girl doll named Kimaya. Kimaya had everything she needed; clothes, a bed, toys, food, even an iPad. But there were a couple things that she reeeeeally wanted. Her best friend, a 10-year old girl, promised they would go to the American Girl store at Natick and get her items. So Kimaya waited.      Kimaya's birthday was fast approaching. With only two weeks until her birthday, Kimaya's friend planned to go to the American Girl store on this Sunday. Kimaya was very excited about this. She loved the AG store. It was filled with sooooo many items. Kimaya started counting down the days until the weekend.      Finally Sunday came. Kim's friend buckled her up in the Lexus, and off they went. Natick is only thirty minutes away, and soon they were in the mall, walking towards the AG store.       Kim's friend at once started looking for Kim's first present: a 2016 Special Edition Maryellen mini doll. no littering!

We only have one planet, and that is Earth. So until scientists find another habitable planet, it is our job to keep Earth clean, healthy, and livable. A dirty environment means more diseases, and that's bad news. I don't understand why people litter, because they only have one home, and they're taking it for granted. So two things: if you are a litterer, then stop! You're only harming yourself. If you don't litter, good, and stay like that. Help people who do litter to stop. We can clean up Earth, so go for it!

endangered animals

This post is to raise awareness of animals that are endangered. I just want to raise awareness, 'cause the smallest voices can make the biggest impact. I'm really sad to say that animals like the giant panda, cheetah, impala, red panda, elk, moose, hartebeest, Royal Bengal tiger, and more animals are near extinction. What can we do, you ask? Well, unless you're a politician, we don'y have much power to ban anything. But................... we can raise awareness! If we can give ideas to help and raise awareness about this, then these animals have a chance at re-populating. So let's start saving animals! :)

help spread the word!

Okay, today I'm discussing serious matter. 2015 and 2016 are two consecutive years that are receiving the full blow of the El Nino effect. Every few years, a specific part of the ocean heats up, and causes weather disruptions all over the world. This explains our not very snowy winter. A road in New Delhi, India, melted because of the temperatures, which peaks 100 degrees or more. I don't know if this has to do with the water crisis going on, but I might as well write about it.      Asia, parts of Africa, and some parts of North America. are affected by a decrease of water. All I ask is that we all use as much water as needed and to spread the word. Maybe we can get water to those who need it. And don't forget to spread the word!

social media

Today's post is about social media like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. Should kids be allowed on social media?       Kids are allowed to have social media to communicate with friends. Social media is way for relatives far away to communicate, like me. Skype and FaceTime help me talk and see my family and cousins. It can also help update people on fundraisers and ways to get involved in their community.       But social media has its downsides, too. More time spent on the internet can reduce family time, and therefore interfere with activities. It can cause kids to be lazy and irresponsible. Their eyes can get strained and soon they would need glasses.     So, should kids be allowed on social media? My answer is yes. If kids can manage the time spent on posting pictures on Instagram and such, they should be allowed. But they should be aware that social media is a privilege, and therefore can be taken away. The real decision is upon the parents. If parents

What should have been sunshine Turned into snow;   What should have been laughter Turned into boredom; Spring's arrival is a shocker A major storm took over the light; "Why now?", everyone asks, Winter is gone for the year; My answer is: Winter's final gift is deliverd, To make up for the lost fun of last winter It's not much, but it reflects the strange weather the day after the vern al equinox.
