In my cousin sisters school, they were having a poem contest and the prize is 500 dollars. They have to write a poem about sunsets. This inspired me to write my masterpiece poem about a specific sunset.
Shimmering sun rays disappear under the horizon.
A fisher man's boat returns for the night.
Up in the sky, a flock of wild geese
Glide back to their home.
Near the busy shoreline, a stubborn sea gull
Refuses to go before catching her last sardine.
Some angel fish scurry
Away from a young shark.
Emperor angelfish swim proudly
Through the water
While hidden eels stalk them.
Turning the sky from pink to purple,
The stars hold the key
To open up the night.
A fisher man's boat returns for the night.
Up in the sky, a flock of wild geese
Glide back to their home.
Near the busy shoreline, a stubborn sea gull
Refuses to go before catching her last sardine.
Some angel fish scurry
Away from a young shark.
Emperor angelfish swim proudly
Through the water
While hidden eels stalk them.
Turning the sky from pink to purple,
The stars hold the key
To open up the night.
