Spring

Spring reminds me of the warm sun. I call my friends over to Simon's Park for a playdate. I hear the birds singing in spring. Spring is the time animals wake up from their long hibranation and babys are born. Rain is very common in spring. Thousands of flowers bloom in spring. Spring helps make oxygen for us. Spring is a lot of fun. Aditi     Bhattamishra  1st Grade PineGlen Elementary School

Snakes

Snakes rest most of the day. Snakes have poor eye-sight. They stay in a fairly small place through out their lives. Some species live on land while others live in water. Water snakes move by swimming or floating. The black mamba may be the fastest snake. The black mamba is actually a cobra without a hood. The hog-nosed snake pretends to be dead to fool predetors. When a baby snake hatches, it has to defend for itself. When a water snake is scared, it sprays a smelly liquid to escape predetors. The gaboon viper can camouflage itself.  Aditi Bhattamishra, 1 Grade, Pine Glen Elmentary School
